Bagasse coffee cup lid

These handy lids with a drinking opening are a more sustainable alternative to the ‘usual’ plastic lids. The lids fit all coffee cups with a capacity of 350 ml (12 oz), 480 ml (16 oz) and 600 ml (20 oz). Fill coffee cups with coffee, tea or other (hot) drink and close them securely with these lids. Your customers can now take their drinks with them to enjoy on the terrace or on the way. An asset for coffee stalls, caterers, beach tents, snack bars, food trucks and other food service establishments.

Sturdy and versatile

The white lids are made of very strong bagasse (sugarcane pulp). They have a handy drinking hole so the contents can also be enjoyed on the way without any worries. They are ideal for hygienically closing coffee cups during festivals, events and fairs, on camp sites and terraces, at sporting events, picnics, barbecues and garden parties as well as for take-away or delivered meals. The lids are available in two practical sizes that between them fit four sizes of coffee cup.

Bagasse: sugarcane residual waste

Bagasse, which means ‘waste’, is the fibre left over after the sap has been extracted from sugarcane. This food-safe, sturdy and taste-neutral raw material is an ideal basis for products such as plates, bowls, dishes and containers. The material can withstand grease for short periods and is suitable for warm dishes with temperatures up to 40 °C. Bagasse products are both freezer and microwave safe. And because they contain no plastic, bagasse items are compostable in an industrial setting and can be disposed of in the green waste bin. Our bagasse products comply with the more stringent PFAS legislation for materials that are in contact with food.
